How to Install Fiber Optics in Your House (Without Your Area Having Fiber Optics)

After writing about Kuwait’s fastest internet connection and mentioning you can manually install fiber optics (optical fiber) I got asked a lot about the process and details, so I did some research and it turns out to be easier than I expected, you just need to have a lot of cash lying around.

Here are the steps:

1. Call Fast Telco and tell them you are interested in installing fiber optics in your house/apartment. To directly reach the fiber optics department call: 22266021


2. They will get back to you with a cost estimate


3. Once you approve it will take approximately 2 months to install fiber in your place

The first year will cost more because you will pay for hardware etc, year after that the price will be cheaper.

The connection speed options are 10MB – 100MB, you can split the cost of the internet with neighbours and you will all share the connection speed.

• Cable Distance: 1 kilometer


• Connection Speed: 50MB
