What’s this?

Some campers reported seeing what looked like to be a lizard or as known as Dhab (Egyptian Mastigur) statue being built near Abdali. It looks rather funny, but really I can’t imagine its purpose, Can you? Though I guess it will be scary as hell if you happen to see it at night in middle of cold desert.
