The 1000 Mbps Internet Home Connection Offer

Fast Telco blew the internet speed competition with this offer. I haven’t seen a 200 Mb/ps or 500 Mb/ps from anyone, suddenly I get a 1 Gegabyte connection offer in front of me. I managed to get in touch with a person part of the team that’s responsible for installing this insane connection and there are a lot of downsides.

• The annual subscription for this speed is KD 10,000


• This connection must be shared between a few houses next to each other. You would get this offer if all your relatives lived down the road for example


• You need fiber optics for this speed (obviously), if you don’t have fiber optics with your landline you have to ask for one to be installed by the government and that costs around KD 2000 – KD 3000


• You get up to 1000 Mb/ps, but never actually reach that speed. Specially since the connection is shared between households
