What’s this?

Some campers reported seeing what looked like to be a giant lizard or as known as Dhab (Egyptian Mastigur) statue being built near Abdali. It looks rather funny, but really I can’t imagine its purpose, Can you? Though I guess it will be scary as hell if you happen to see it at night in middle of cold desert.

Update: Apparently, it was built by KOC for KD200,000 in Abdaliya west of Kuwait using recycled waste material to demonstrate their commitment toward Kuwait environment. Our blog friends have shared with us the story behind it and the making video.
